The Chesapeake Public Safety Memorial Fund has been established to raise money to build a new
memorial for all Chesapeake Public Safety personnel.
The current memorials in front of the Public Safety building, unfortunately, no longer meet the needs of
our growing city.
The City Council has generously provided the plot of land in front of the Court Building for the new
memorial. Now we need to raise the money to build the memorial.
The Memorial Fund Committee is setting up several fund raising events to help, and everyone is
encouraged to attend and support these efforts. Personal and business donations will also be accepted.

To view the plan that won the majority of the votes, click on PLANS. This is the general design and the
final details of the design is open to suggestions.
We are also seeking input on designs for memorial t-shirts. If you have any artistic abilities and would like
to submit a design, please do so under YOUR VOICE. There are many people within the respective
departments that have produced designs that have been used for other fund raising activities, and we
welcome all suggestions.
This site is currently only available to members of the police, fire and sheriff's department. Once the
voting is over and a design has been approved, the site will be open to the public. Those persons, private
and business, who are interested in contributing to the Memorial Fund will be able to find out more
information about the memorial and how they can contribute.
